Emotional Coping Strategies

Strategy stations are used to help guide students when they need some additional focus time.

Distraction: draw, do a puzzle, squishy balls, pop its, read a book, color, listen to music
Movement
: ride your bike, play outside, run, play basketball, jump rope, do jumping jacks, do push ups
Relaxation
: yoga poses, take deep breaths, listen to music, take a nap, go for a walk
Thinking/Self Talk
: positive self-talk “It’s ok”, “I can do this, I can do this”, “Everyone makes mistakes- keep trying”, “You’ve got this”
